Sure, Michigan is packed with great things to do on New Year's Eve, from partying at local bars to taking a trip to a larger mecca and ringing in a new season in style. But, what if you just feeling like doing a low-key New Year's Eve celebration? That's totally fine, too. While going out on New Year's Eve can be very fun, you also have to be careful driving, because there can be some dangerous drivers that night. Even aside from that aspect of it, sometimes staying in for New Year's Eve and just having a relaxed evening feels like the perfect thing to do. In that tradition, check out some low-key New Year's Eve options.

Michigan New Year's Eve Options That Are Laid-Back

Enjoy Michigan Goodies

Make this a Michigan New Year's Eve with lots of Michigan goodies to snack and drink on while you're watching the ball drop. Pack your place with Faygo, Vernors, Sanders chocolates, Detroit-style pizza and other Michigan items.

Get Dressy But Stay In

Who says you have to get dressed up only when you're going out? This idea is especially good for couples. You and your sweetheart can get dressed up just for each other and have a delicious dinner in. It can be super romantic to get dressed up just for that special someone in your life, and you don't need to go out to an expensive restaurant on New Year's Eve to enjoy it.

Make a Special New Year's Eve Meal

It's New Year's Eve, so it's time to celebrate with some delicious food. Make yourself, and any guests, a delicious meal that's one of your favorites. Experimenting is fun, but it's low-stress to dish out a tried-and-true meal.

Host a Movie Night

Just because you're not going out, that doesn't mean you can't bring the party in. Host a fun movie night for your friends. Make it a sleepover and have everyone wear PJs, too. A laid-back movie night could be the best way to ring in the next year.

Have Some Alone Time

Maybe you want to ring in a new season alone, and that's great. So, have some "me" time and watch the ball drop all alone. Spending NYE alone is a great way to reflect on the past year, pray and do whatever you wish to get ready for the new one. Contact me with your NYE ideas.
