WCSX scott randallThe 13 Forever 3rd Annual Bag Childhood Cancer Benefit from the Macomb County Charity was held at the Eastside’s Great Shots Backyard Bar & Games in Clinton Township. To say we raised the bar this year was an underestimate.
What an event this year and to all who came out supporting Macomb County Charity 13 Forever, Help Us Help Kids. Together, we raised over 10 thousand dollars for local Michigan charities!!! WCSX‘s Screamin Scott Randall, my media pals from TV and Radio, Jason Raithel and TV personality Ali Hoxie, and the staff at Great Shots Backyard Bar and Games. Please share our gratitude!

Cornhole Tournament Games
Last year we had 107 players and this year we had even more all battling it out on many cornhole boards. The Bar Great Shots is a cornhole center. No longer just a backyard sport. This is the place to be for fun and friendly competition. Plus ice cold drinks and Hungry Howie pizza making some new friends.
I played four games with different partners. For the record, I was a bit rusty but came back as my team won the 1st game easily. The second game was a bit different as we got our clocks cleaned. with the help of good partners to finish up at .500 for the night and #45 place. The mood was incredible, or maybe the tequila but everyone had a great night.

Who Is The Group 13 Forever?
Justin Townsend was a happy and carefree 12-year-old looking forward to starting junior high when he started experiencing debilitating headaches in September 2013. Justin was diagnosed with Glioblastoma-Multiforme, a highly aggressive form of brain cancer.
After losing Justin, Roy Townsend knew they had to do something to help other families going through the same nightmare.
In 2022, they founded 13Forever, a nonprofit organization dedicated to giving back to numerous cancer organizations and research facilities. We hope that through our efforts, we can make a difference in the fight against childhood cancer. We know that our son Justin would be proud of the work that we are doing to honor his memory and help others.
Roy Townsend The Director Of The American Childhood Cancer Organization (ACCO)
Roy Townsend says, “Statistics indicate that childhood cancer is on the rise.” “The number of brain tumors appearing in children is continuing to increase and there has been very little pharmaceutical development for childhood cancer in the last 25 years.” That said, 13forever is raising money for Koschmann Lab and its Precision Medicine Therapy.

Record Store Day April ’25 List Reveal plus 10 Cool Classic Rock Releases
Hello, classic rock listeners, and to all the music enthusiasts and vinyl record spinners. Spring is soon approaching, and for many music lovers, that means the brand-new Record Store Day list is to be finally released.
As revealed by their website, the first Record Store Day release will take place on Saturday, April 12th, 2025.
For nearly 20 years, Record Store Day (RSD) has been an annual event (held in April and November) to promote the thousands of independent record stores in our local communities and bring together fans and artists for their love of music. In addition to this, hundreds of artists release limited edition items. The annual RSD lists include picture disc vinyl, limited edition releases of sought-after albums, variant color albums, and even the occasional cassette and CD.
The only way to get your hands on these releases is to head to your local participating record store and sometimes line up early hours before the stores open to get your hands on these exclusive titles.
As for us 94.7 WCSX listeners and classic rock vinyl record lovers, below are 10 classic rock finds off the newly released list that are sure to keep our turntables spinning, and WCSX's own Screamin' Scott Randall is asking for an advance on his next paycheck to cover his purchases.
This is a friendly reminder that while this list only encompasses 10 classic rock releases from this year's Record Store Day list, plenty of other classic rock artists and musicians from many other genres of music have wonderful music coming out this year.
For more information on Record Store Day or where to find a record store close to you, head over to the website to see the latest news and information. Let's start crate-digging into these great classic rock releases.
A special thanks to the Record Store Day website for all the fantastic releases and up-to-date information on what sure is shaping up to be an excellent way to continue rocking into 2025.
