If you love Faygo's pop and fizz, two new flavor additions to its line are coming soon.
The new flavors include the Faygo Super Pop, which borrows its name from a Michigan-flavor ice cream, and the Faygo Bubble Pop!, which honors the classic candy shop sweet.
"This is one of the biggest launches in Faygo's 118-year history," said Dan Trpevski, executive vice president of Faygo Beverages, in a media statement shared with the Patch of Detroit. "We're proud to introduce these all-new unique flavors, Super Pop and Bubble Pop!, to our lineup of over 50 iconic Faygo varieties."
The blue Faygo Super Pop honors a beloved Michigan ice cream flavor called Superman, which originated in the 1920s. The company describes the "vibrant," "fruity taste" that will remind people of leisurely summer days during childhood.
The light pink Bubble Pop! delivers a traditional bubble gum flavor with notes of vanilla and fruit. According to Faygo, the pop will bear the "ultimate taste of nostalgia," transporting fans to memories of days spent at the ballpark or on the playground.
Both varieties of pops are available in 20- and 24-ounce bottles at Meijer stores across Michigan and will be distributed to more retailers in the coming months.
Both Super Pop and Bubble Pop! will also appear at the “Immersive World of Faygo” House of Faygo pop-up experience at Bedrock's, 1001 Woodward Ave. in Detroit, from April 4 to April 6. The event is open to the public, and admission is free.
