Top chefs across metro Detroit will unite at Pontiac's M1 Concourse on Oct. 18. The tenth annual Uncork for a Cure brings together culinary talent to boost breast cancer research and care.

From 6 p.m. until 10 p.m., guests will sample dishes paired with select wines. This milestone marks a decade of backing cancer programs through the Dynami Foundation.

Since 2016, supporters have given $3.5 million. These funds target Invasive Lobular Carcinoma research - a cancer type that affects 15% of patients but gets just 1% of study money.

Flora Migyanka started the Dynami Foundation in 2019 after winning her fight with ILC breast cancer. "The 10th anniversary is especially meaningful to me," Migyanka said, according to Detroit Free Press. "This year marks my 13th year cancer-free, and I'm more energized than ever to help local women through Uncork for a Cure."

Star chefs at the event include James Rigato of Mabel Gray at Hazel Park. Detroit's Vecino sends Edgar Torres and Ricardo Mojica. Mamba Hamissi brings flavors from Baobab Fare, while Grey Ghost's John Vermiglio and Joe Giacomino add their skills.

The kitchen lineup grows with John Yelinek from Ladder 4 Wine Bar. Brad Greenhill brings Takoi's flair, Andy Hollyday represents Selden Standard, and Ann Arbor's Ji Hye Kim shows Miss Kim's style.

Guests can sip wine, catch live bands, view art, and zip around the racetrack. An auction adds to the night's excitement.

Want to join? Tickets cost $375. Show up at 6 p.m. at 164 South Blvd W in Pontiac's M1 Concourse.
