Detroit's historic train station will transform into a haunted wonderland this Oct. 31, 2025. From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., the building opens its doors for a mix of free outdoor fun and ticketed indoor shows, as per WXYZ.
Kids can swarm the Newlab at Michigan Central Lawn and LaCombe Street. The outdoor space buzzes with science tricks, mask-making stations, and glowing art. Ford cars, decked out in spooky style, will dish out candy to trick-or-treaters.
The station's south hall pumps with beats from Detroit's own DJ Dez Andrés and DJ Cisco. Dancers from Motor City Street Dance Academy spin and flip while artist Demaciiio splashes color on canvas, according to Fox 2. Visitors can grab snacks from food trucks or sip drinks at the bar.
This community bash comes straight from Ford Philanthropy and Michigan Central. Starting October 17, the walls light up with ghostly scenes. The big night brings an extra-special light show that makes the old station glow.
While anyone can join the outdoor fun, the indoor party has strict limits. Online tickets vanished by October 15. A few lucky people might snag spots at the entrance—if they're quick.
Singer Gabriel Duran adds his voice to the night's mix. Photo spots pop up all around, perfect for spooky snapshots.
This Halloween bash proves the old station still has life in its bones. Local families get to step inside this fixed-up Detroit gem without spending a dime.
