BrightWorks Coworking will launch its third Ann Arbor location in February. The site sits on the second floor at 255 E. Liberty St. Members get private offices, a meeting room, and access to the company's other buildings.

"Now is the right time to bring our level of hospitality to the downtown coworking and private office membership experience," Kate Arbour said, according to Concentrate Media. Arbour serves as coworking community manager with the firm.

This marks the company's third opening in two years. Demand for membership-based office options has grown across the area.

BrightWorks operates as a division within Oxford Companies, an Ann Arbor commercial real estate firm. Two other sites run at 777 E. Eisenhower Parkway, Suite 230, and 3027 Miller Rd. Tech entrepreneurs and second-career seekers make up the membership base.

"Coworking is an amazing concept and idea, and it gives opportunities to folks who otherwise couldn't find office space. Maybe you can't navigate a five- or 10-year lease. Coworking gives flexibility," Arbour said.

The downtown site will join existing coworking spaces Bamboo and Cahoots. Competition doesn't worry the company. Arbour said they welcome other businesses nearby.

Hospitality and client service set the firm apart. Arbour brought years of experience from hotels when she joined.

"We pride ourselves on warmth, approachability, and professionalism," Arbour said. "We want to bring that level of welcome and warmth to people's experience. What can we do for you and how can we help make things easier for members?"

This approach creates an environment where members feel comfortable bringing clients.

"We're creating spaces where people actually want to spend their time," Arbour said.

Natural light fills the Liberty Street site. Membership plans vary. Floor plans and details about the space appear on the company website.
