Chubby Cattle Wagyu Shabu House opened Monday at 42768 Grand River in the Sakura Novi shopping center. The all-you-can-eat hot pot restaurant is the first Michigan location for the chain.

Guests pay one price and cook protein at their table in flavored pots of broth. The restaurant works as a Japanese-style yakiniku hot pot focused on different grades of wagyu beef. Diners get 90 minutes at the table.

Three pricing tiers give diners different options. The basic tier costs $48 per person. It offers American and Australian wagyu, sushi, and seafood. The silver tier runs $58 per person and includes Japanese A5 wagyu cuts, tartare, and bone marrow.

Gold costs $78. It adds exclusive A5 wagyu cuts and other meats. There are special prices for kids, depending on height. Everyone at the table must order the same price point.

All tiers include unlimited milk tea, side dishes, and desserts. Broth comes in seven flavors, including sukiyaki, spicy miso, and Japanese tonkotsu.

"Michigan is home to some of the country's most adventurous food lovers, and we believe our take on wagyu hotpot . . . will truly resonate with the local community," said Chubby Group co-founder David Zhao in a press release according to The Detroit News.

Hours run daily from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Additional rules, policies, and membership details are available at chubbycattle.com.
