Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons will open a Rock & Brews spot in Royal Oak. March marks the debut. This will be the first Michigan outpost for the rock-themed eatery. It sits at 208 W. Fifth.

Two brothers will handle operations. Tony Yezbick and Danny Yezbick already run Fifth Avenue Bar, right across the street, plus they own 526 Main Piano Bar nearby.

"This is a restaurant, first and foremost. It's a rock and roll themed restaurant," Tony Yezbick said, per The Detroit News. "They have a wonderful menu, something for everyone. The highlights I would say is this cheeseburger eggroll, they have a new 'highway to health' section ... that will be very good."

HopCat used to occupy the three-story building in downtown Royal Oak. Guests can eat on any floor—the ground level offers dining space, the second floor hosts live bands, and when the weather warms up, the rooftop opens.

Rock & Brews operates in eight states. At the time of publication, the chain runs roughly 15 spots throughout the U.S. The menu will include wings, burgers, salads, pretzels, and pizza.

Drew Lane joins the Yezbick brothers to weave Detroit music history throughout the space. Lane co-hosted "The Drew and Mike Show" on WRIF for two decades. Lane collaborated with designers to display vintage WRIF stickers, Motown posters, garage rock-era flyers, radio chart lists, and photos.

Fresh ingredients come from nearby sources. Local craft beers will likely be poured from taps at the Royal Oak site, supplementing the standard menu. Doors open March 2. Visit rockandbrews.com for details.
