Home Bakery in Rochester completed a life-size cake display of Detroit Lions players Amon-Ra St. Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs. It recreates their Spider-Man and Superman touchdown celebration from a win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Oct. 20, 2025, according to the bakery's press release, as shared by the Detroit Free Press. The installation demanded more than 400 hours from 24 bakers and artists.
The display shows St. Brown suspended from the ceiling in a Superman pose over Gibbs, who crouches below in a Spider-Man position. St. Brown's fist appears to burst through the front window of the shop. Bakers used eight cases of Rice Krispies treats, four sheet cakes, 65 pounds of fondant, and buttercream.
"We have a fist bursting through the glass. Like, it's the coolest thing," Heather Tocco said per ESPN. "We just really pushed our limits on what we could do and suspending a cake from the ceiling, really giving it that life, and the black uniforms are so cool."
Tocco served as one of the models for Gibbs' pose to get the shape as accurate as possible before completion. Four men attached the St. Brown figure to the ceiling.
This marks the second year the bakery created a Detroit-themed display. Last January, Tocco and her staff made a life-size 6-foot-2 cake of St. Brown completing his headstand celebration from a Week 9 game against the Green Bay Packers in 2024. The height information about that cake was initially revealed by the baker's owner, Tocco.
"It's still an epic celebration, and when we did the last window in January of last year, it just brought people together," said Tocco to ESPN. "We were getting thank-you cards mailed to the door, and kids were drawing us photos, saying 'thank you for doing this' and 'thank you for bringing people together' and quite honestly, I kinda wanted that feeling again, too."
The 2025 season ended for the franchise after finishing 9-8 and missing the postseason for the first time since 2022. The team won its final game against Chicago Bears in Week 18, according to ESPN.
St. Brown finished the 2025 season with 1,401 receiving yards, 117 receptions, and 11 touchdowns. Jahmyr Gibbs had 1,223 rushing yards and 13 touchdowns, as reported by ESPN.
The shop plans to keep the cake on display through the end of February. Natural sunlight will cause the black fondant elements to fade, so visitors should view the display sooner for the most vibrant colors.
Home Bakery is located at 300 S. Main Street in downtown Rochester and opens 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
