Macomb Community College will hold Discover Macomb on March 7. Prospective students and parents can learn about opportunities at the school. The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the South Campus in Warren in room 301 of the K Building.

Breakout sessions, informational tables and campus tours fill the morning. Anyone thinking about attending can participate.

Educators will share information about student success resources, student life activities, and programs tied to work opportunities. Topics span admissions and outreach, arts and sciences, business and information technology, career services, engineering and advanced technology, health and human services, media and communication arts, public service institute, and veteran and military service.

Breakout sessions will cover counseling and advising resources. Other sessions focus on media and communication arts, engineering and advanced technology programs, health careers in both academic and noncredit formats. Participants can attend multiple sessions throughout the morning.

Staff will give tours of the South Campus after the sessions end. Informational tables will cover dual enrollment, short-term certificates, and student access services. University Center partners will share information about completing a bachelor's degree there.

The school will also hold Spotlight Nights throughout the spring for those wanting more in-depth looks at specific programs. The series will give potential students and families more information about high-demand career fields, offer opportunities to meet faculty, and tour specialized learning spaces.

Health and Human Services takes place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. March 19 at Center Campus in the C Building. Culinary, Business and Information Technology runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. March 26 at Center Campus in the C Building.

Engineering and Advanced Technology happens from 7 to 8:30 p.m. April 16 at South Campus in the T Building. Public Service Institute will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. May 6 at East Campus.
