Since March of 2013, Sharon Therrian, the Founder of “Tote Bags of Love” has championed the making of 900 plus Weather-Proof Tote Bags for Homeless Individuals, 3 – 5 year-olds in the Head-start program, and Foster Care Children. These bags are made with love and filled with essentials that people need.
Sharon contacted Purina and requested them to donate plastic weave feed and grain bags, she also contacted the Washington Feed & Grain Elevator for Twine, and posted flyers throughout the Romeo Area community requesting individuals to donate plastic weave feed and grain bags, and also asked for help in the cutting and the sewing of the plastic weave bags to create weather proof Tote Bags. Listen to her story to hear why she is a WCSX “Woman Who Rocks”.

Let’s face it: We kind of have a problem.
We live in a technology-dominated world, where computers, tablets and smartphones capture our attention on a daily basis. We are, in short, technology zombies. Instead of brains, however, we have an insatiable appetite for glowing screens that keep us entertained, attached to work and able to share our every thought and action with all of our friends and acquaintances. In the second half of the podcast, I am always joined by Cyndy Schalter from Turning Point Macomb.
This week Cyndy and I discuss disconnecting from the Internet and reconnecting with the ones you love. Cyndy shares some some ideas for you and your family to enjoy a vacation with minimal technological interferences.
YOU ARE NOT ALONE…
TURNING POINT IS HERE TO HELP!

Turning Point provides emergency and support services to meet both the immediate and long-term needs of survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Turning Point strives to provide a safe non-judgmental place for survivors to explore their feelings and options, and regain control of their lives.
