Atwater Brewery will host a celebratory Oktoberfest style tapping of the keg at 1p.m.. There will be a variety of craft beer from Atwater Brewery and Baffin Brewing Company.

Sponge recently released, its eighth studio record “The Beer Sessions”. To celebrate the band has decided to make the night the OFFICIAL RECORD RELEASE PARTY. The first 300 people to buy tickets to the event will receive a FREE Beer Sessions CD. Also on tap the night of the festival, the band will be recording a brand new LIVE CD to be named “Rockin’ the Shores LIVE”.

In addition to great music and beer, there will be a variety of food from local businesses including Little Z’s BBQ, Firehouse Pub, Caffe Far Bella, Sabby’s Bar & Grill and MotorCity Casino Hotel’s High Octane Food Truck 1. Plus there will be vendors selling unique gifts. A portion of the evening’s proceeds will benefit Kids Without Cancer.
