The Engine House! This restaurant was opened in 2007 by a couple of Firefighters, Johnny G and Greg. Out back is a mural tribute to fallen firefighters.
Another awesome mural at Engine House.
The inside is decked out firefighter style.
A huge fire tarp ring hangs on the wall of Engine House.
The amazing staff of Engine House including Annmarie, Johnny G’s daughter. Sadly, Johnny G passed away a month ago from Covid. He is sorely missed by the entire Mt. Clemens community. Our thoughts and prayers are with Annmarie and the rest of Johnny’s family and friends.
The crew stopped in at the Martha Washington Hotel. It’s the last remaining hotel from the Bath Era hotel of Mt. Clemens. Today it is used for really amazing office space and is home to Olympia Spa and Salon.
Masks ON and Olympia Span and Salon is OPEN! They even feature mineral bath and massage combos! First you woke in the minerals... then you get a massage. What’s not to love about Mt. Clemens?
Olympia Spa is really nice and the staff is amazing. Doni spoke with their owner, Lois, about the history of Mt. Clemens bath houses.
Doni and Cameraman Steven checked out the Mt. Clemens Municipal Building.
Doni and Mt. Clemens Mayor, Laura Kropp, in the mayor’s office.
