City of the Week in Wayne

City of the Week is BACK and hitting the streets in Wayne!
Doni checked in with the city council of Wayne to make the re-grand openings all official like.

They kicked off the ribbon ceremonies with Community Development / Planning Department, Lori Gouin, Mayor John Rhaesa, and City Clerk, Tina Stanke!

The gang stopped by Michigan’s Finest, a new dispensary in Wayne! The owner, Scott is quite the character and the business is family run.

Next stop in the ribbon cutting extravaganza, Law Auto! Law Auto has been in Wayne since 1984 owned and run by Vince Law and his family.

Leo’s Jewelers has been a part of the Wayne community for 65 years! David has been there for all of them. When the power went out after a recent storm in Wayne, David still took care of his customers by using a flashlight to get the job done!

Celebrating Wayne’s history! Before it was Wayne, it was Derby’s Corners.

In a nod to their past, Wayne has Derby’s Alley.

After a good tour around Wayne, City of the Week announces victory! Wayne is officially re-grand opened!

Doni and Mayor Rhaesa stopped by the Ford Michigan Assembly plant... what up IAW Local 900?

From there the gang headed to the Wayne Historical Museum... outside and socially distancing, they took a break from their masks.

Doni checked out the history of Wayne.

Including their buggies, history of cars and airplanes!

We left a WCSX upgrade on the Drive-in display.

The original Wayne School bell in the background! Thanks for an amazing week, Wayne!
