Farewell to The Joe

Wings fans surrounded the Joe in a sea of red all afternoon.

The red carpet was rolled out for the occasion.

So many Detroiters came to say goodbye.

The crowd became quiet before a few words were said about the Joe.

Everyone had their phones ready for the players on the red carpet.

And so it begins..

The crowd went wild when the players walked into the Joe one last time.

Some Red Wings even signed memorabilia for their fans.

What better way to say goodbye to an ice arena than with a big block of ice?
