Megan Murphy and WCSX at Elwood for Detroit Thanksgiving Football
Man, I am so stuffed! Had a great Thanksgiving with all kinds of great food! How about you? Megan Murphy and WCSX were having some holiday fun at the Elwood Bar & Grill!
Did you know that The Elwood was established in 1936? The Elwood was designed by Charles Noble, also famous for designing the Art Deco Lee Plaza (1929) and Kean Apartments (1931). The Elwood was originally located at 2100 Woodward Avenue but was relocated to 300 East Adams St. If it’s too windy or cold outside, come on inside the Elwood. The cheer and mirth abound around here at the Elwood.
There are all kinds of things to do too when you’re downtown. You have Ford Field right next store to the Elwood along with Comerica Park. Catch a baseball game or check out a show at the Gem Theatre. When the weather is right, zip lines are set to go up and down Adams. Bands play in the streets and sometimes even the Honolulu Blue play a tune or two!

Or perhaps you want to grab a scooter and take a quick run over to the Fox Theatre or the Fillmore. Maybe go that opposite way and take a few chances at the Hollywood Casino at Greektown. Let’s play the odds and then come back to share the spoils at the Elwood Bar & Grill.
The Elwood & Bar has very convenient parking right next store with a multi-level parking structure that leads right to the bar. And when the mood is right, there’s a party going on in the parking structure too! Elwood likes to bring in DJs to play both in the parking structure and in front of the bar. After that, throw in some WCSX on the other side of the building and you are packed with rock.
Grab some TURKEY Get a drink! Listen to WCSX! It’s party time! And let’s party at The Elwood Bar & Grille. Located right next to Ford Field at 300 E. Adams Ave in Detroit! Photos are all courtesy of the awesome WCSX Promotions crew.
