For nearly 50 years, the rock group from Champaign, Illinois, REO Speedwagon, has been giving audiences and classic rock listeners timeless hits and concert memories that'll last a lifetime. With over 40 million records sold and over a dozen Top-40 Hits, it's no wonder that when REO Speedwagon comes to town, the fans show up and let their voices be heard.

Before taking the stage at Pine Knob Music Theatre for their Summer Road Trip 2024 tour with touring band Train, REO Speedwagon's singer and guitarist Kevin Cronin caught up with 94.7 WCSX's own Big Jim O'Brien on his podcast "Jim Bits." On the podcast, Jim and Kevin talked about the tour, the music, and of course, the love REO has for their adoring audience when they get the privilege to play in Detroit and at Pine Knob Music Theatre.

The 13-song setlist covered plenty of hits and left the audience swooning for an encore before headliner band Train took the stage to put on a rousing performance themselves. While REO Speedwagon and Train dazzled the crowd that filled up the entire hill and pavilion of Pine Knob, the WCSX promo team was having fun giving away tickets to a few lucky listeners to Parti-Gras 2.0 with Bret Michaels and making a playlist that left tailgaters dancing in the parking lot.
