ROCK THE RED KETTLE! What a night at City Tavern! WCSX and WRIF threw a party to raise money for the Salvation Army, but YOU brought the talent. I have never seen a karaoke night like this before. Live Band Karaoke Detroit provided a LIVE band experience for our karaoke singers. What a unique and extraordinary experience. Our singers were all fantastic and it was great to have some time hanging out with Screamin’ Scott and Uncle Buck. They both KILLED it with their songs! (pics below)
Not All Voices Are Good for Singing
I don’t know about you, but I went to my share of karaoke nights back in the ’90s and there were always some singers who took the phrase “You don’t have to sing well, you just have to sing” to heart. Those are my people. I am not a great singer. Relying on presentation is my key strategy to carry my off notes. I didn’t get a chance to sing (lucky for the crowd) at Rock the Red Kettle. There were SO MANY people signed up to sing (each made a donation to the Salvation Army) and I wanted them to have a chance before I took one… also Screamin’ Scott and Uncle Buck were WAY BETTER than anything I could have pulled off. lol #truth

Buck ruled the stage on “Secret Agent Man!”
City Tavern donated 10% of everyone’s food and drinks to Salvation Army plus we hit the crowd up with our Red Kettles. We also had a silent auction with some awesome items including a Bob Seger Boulevard sign, autographed albums, and more. Thanks to everyone who came out to support the Salvation Army! I’m ringing for the Salvation Army again this year. If you would be so kind as to make a donation to my kettle, I would be extremely appreciative on behalf of the Salvation Army. If you want a chance to do karaoke with Live Band Karaoke Detroit, they play regularly at City Tavern. Even if you don’t sing, I highly recommend the experience. The band is so nice and welcoming and it’s a great time and the cre3am of the crop in singing talent. I caught some pictures of our singers. Check them out!
