Mas Tequila! That was the phrase thousands of concertgoers echoed at Pine Knob as Sammy Hagar took the stage for the 2024 Best of Both Worlds tour. The Red Rocker wasn’t alone in his conquest of taking over the stage with music, as Loverboy also helped kick off the concert festivities.
Hagar, who turns 77 this October, showed no signs of slowing down as the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer played a 21-song set to a sold-out Pine Knob with plenty left to be desired with an encore or two. Joining the Cabo Wabo Tequila founder on stage were legendary guitarist Michael Anthony, Joe Satriani, and drummer Jason Bonham, who played nothing but hits for the thunderous, loud crowd.
With Loverboy and Sammy Hagar on the bill, it was a full night of classic rock that 94.7 WCSX just had to be a part of. The WCSX promo team caught up with a few tailgaters just before the show to share in the good times and just why we can’t drive 55 while on I-75.
