Taylor, Michigan, is known for a number of things. Amongst those include, the founding location of Hungry Howie’s Pizza, hosts of the Junior League World Series, and home to Heritage Park. It’s here at Heritage Park where the Taylor Summer Festival takes shape and dazzles the crowds in attendance with thrills, fun, and great concerts over the late June summer weekend.
The Taylor Summer Festival was in full swing as over 30,000 residents took over the space that lined Pardee Road and had their full share of family activities to keep them going from sunrise to sunset. The festivities included a full-fledged carnival with rides, games, and plenty of deep-fried dishes to keep you filled on these hot summer days.
In addition, the four-day event also provided guests with a booming firework show and orchestrated drone performance. If that wasn’t enough, this year’s Taylor Summer Festival hosted some of the classic rock’s most enduring rockers as bands .38 Special and April Wine took the weekend stage by storm. While these veteran rockers played for their loyal music fans, the 94.7 WCSX street team and City of the Week concierge Joel Morgan were on hand to give out good times and tickets to Parti-Gras 2024 with Bret Michaels.
A special thanks to Robert and Sean for their expert advice on the layout of Heritage Park and for teaching Joel a thing or two about the inner workings of a fret bar on the guitar. Also, thanks to the staff of 360 Event Productions for helping put on such a rocking event and having 94.7 WCSX on site to soak up all the downriver festivities that are the Taylor Summer Festival. No event would be possible without the tireless efforts of the Taylor Police Department and security en gradas to ensure that everyone in attendance feels safe and enjoys their summertime in peace.
