In Season 7 Episode 5 of the 1990s sitcom Seinfeld, the zany character Kramer purchases a hot tub for his apartment, and with it ensues comedy chaos, with his neighbor Jerry Seinfeld feeling much of the heat. While I’m sure a Hot Tub is not recommended for apartment use, the staff at The Hot Tub Store in Rochester Hills had plenty to recommend to the droves of Detroit Red Wings fans and Screamin’ Scott of 94.7 WCSX as the biggest sale of the year kicked off.
This year’s sale was off and running in style as Screamin’ Scott of 94.7 WCSX was on site to greet listeners while they shopped for all their spa and hot tub needs. If 94.7 WCSX wasn’t enough, NHL Legends and Detroit Red Wings alum Joey Kocur and Mickey Redmond were on hand to meet with their fanatics, sign a few autographs, and offer those an opportunity to give back to a great charity in the Joey Kocur Foundation.
WCSX caught up with Nick Vendittelli of The Hot Tub Store to find out a little bit about what makes a hot tub so unique and why people should come into this locally owned top-rated store:
“The Hot Tub Store has been delivering premium spas to our Michigan communities since 1997. Our goal has always been to provide the highest quality services and products on time and budget. We can’t wait to start building your dream backyard; you’ll love your new spa!”
Even before the doors opened and Screamin’ Scott of WCSX was thinking about a down payment on his next big purchase, the guests of the hour, Detroit Red Wings legends Joey Kocur and Mickey Redmond, arrived to welcome everyone and talk hockey, hot tubs, and, of course, donating to helping others in the Joey Kocur Foundation.
Those who made a donation to the foundation had their monetary amount matched by the Red Wings stars. They walked away with not only a good feeling in their hearts from helping others but also an autograph and a memory that will surely last a lifetime.
A special thanks to everyone who came out to support The Hot Tub Store and the Joey Kocur Foundation for Children. In addition, thanks to the Hot Tub Store staff, Nick, Patty, and Roxanne. Thanks to Detroit Red Wings legends Joey Kocur and Mickey Redmond for welcoming everyone.
