Friday, June 9th, 2023 was another stellar evening at Smugglers Run. The Quiet Riot concert was amazing. Rudy Sarzo was there, on bass, playing his best as he and the band honored the memories of Kevin DuBrow and Frankie Banali with everything you could ask from a rock show. Side note: the ambiance and layout at Smugglers Run really add to every show. They have a great stage, the club is smartly designed, and the Tiki Bar and outdoor space are amazing,
Show Openers: Siin
This was my first time seeing Siin and I’d love to see them again. Their sound was tight, totally rock, and they has a magnificent stage presence. We got some awesome shots (scroll down for pics) Their Instagram account sums it up well: “SIIN, their presence is full of a contagious energy that pulls in their audience, never failing to entertain. 100% Pure Rock and Roll!”
Britny Fox
Did they play “Girlschool?” You bet your a$$ they did. Britny Fox rocked the house at Smugglers Run. Side note: Billy Childs is the only member of Britny Fox to be in every lineup of the band. He has also performed with Get The Led Out, a pro-level Led Zeppelin experience!
Quiet Riot
I really loved their performance. The crowd was LOVING it too. Rudy Sarzo’s energy did not disappoint. He is solid charisma on stage and he never lets up. They performed all the best Quiet Riot songs including “Slick Black Cadillac,” the Slade covers of “Cum On Feel the Noize,” “Mama Weer All Crazee Now,” and they wrapped the show with “Metal Health.”
On August 5th, Smugglers Run has another great rock show coming your way: Dokken and Lynch Mob.
