The stars and planets must have aligned for our 6-2 for the Lions Bye Week. Coach Dan Campbell couldn’t have written a better script. Monday night’s football win over the Las Vegas Raiders 26-14 win was so great. The Raiders Wednesday fired their coach and GM on the same day.  Our football team can now heal during the Lions Bye Week and rest up a whole week before we have to face the Chargers on November 12th.

Nobody is used to planning what to do to occupy our time this upcoming weekend. What are we supposed to do?  There is yard work and a honey-do list,  but think we deserve to plan something you can enjoy with our extra time off. The last time our Detroit football team was 6-2  was in 2014.

What To Do During The Lions Bye Week?

In the NFL, the Bye Week is a time that players look forward to. After taking a beating on the field week after week, they can finally have some well-earned time off. During this week, players rest and treat their injuries. Sometimes, they’ll even get a way and take a little vacation with the family. It’s a week that’s always circled on the calendar. However, for the fans, the Bye Week is a time of confusion. A break in our routine. Often, we have no idea how to handle it.

Watching the Lions on Sunday is a tradition. We work tirelessly all week long, in eager anticipation of the game on Sunday. Even all of these Prime Time games lately have thrown me off. I’m not used to the Lions being on Monday Night Football! I’m used to them being thrown into the 1pm slot week after week. Now that the team is gaining national interest, we can expect to see a lot more Prime Time games going forward. However, without the Lions playing at all this week…it’s going to be tough to adjust to.

Am I supposed to just watch whatever game Fox and CBS decide to put on? Am I supposed to get yard work done? Please, no! Here are 7 ways to occupy yourself during the Lions bye week!
