I don’t remember the last time I found the Olympics this interesting. Paris, well done. These are some of the best / funniest Olympic moments in bullet form: you’re welcome….

PARIS, FRANCE – JULY 29: Fans pose for a photo during the Women’s Preliminary Round – Pool A match between the United States and China on day three of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 at Paris Arena on July 29, 2024 in Paris, France.

These are some of the best / funniest Olympic moments in bullet form: you're welcome. Please take note: this is not about how many medals or other stats. I am not an official, just an interested viewer.
What was your primary way of consuming the 2024 Olympics? Did you watch it in real time? Did you watch full events or did you watch video snippets on social platforms? My primary news source was my friend, Sheri... I kid you not. Sheri didn't cover the Olympics in an official capacity. She did, however, entertain her friends on Facebook with her witty commentary and classic moments. Most of my list, I owe to Sheri.

In the list below, I debunked a fact that I really hoped was true and I added in some body parts that were not a part of my friend's initial coverage. I freely admit that these best / funniest Olympic moments are not all exactly highbrow, but that is how I roll.
Best / Funniest Olympic Moments
Raygun, (Rachael Gunn) the Australian Break Dancer - I don't know that I have ever seen someone so supremely confident in their mediocre (at best) skills. Even Australia is asking, "WTH?" Rachael has a PhD in breakdancing. She wrote her thesis on the "intersection of gender and Sydney's breaking culture," according to USA Today.
Air Horse One - Make It So Number One
I heard that Canada's equestrian team has a jumbo jet for transporting their horses. The plane is called "Air Horse One." A bunch of these rumors also went around that it was the U.S.A. team using "Air Horse One." Sadly, Snopes says that is not true. By the next equestrian Olympic cycle, I fully expect someone to be using this name. For the love of God... it's PERFECT. Here's a video on the U.S.A. team transporting their horses on NOT Air Horse One. Make it happen, people!
Snoop Dogg Deserves a Gold Medal
I have never seen a celebrity in this type of ambassador role for the Olympics, but I loved it. Snoop was EVERYWHERE. He even has his own Paris Olympics pin. Who designed this? It is genius.
Bowing On The Podium
This. I love this. It's classy and the epitome of good sportsmanship. Andrade is the first Olympic gymnastics gold medalist in Brazil's history. She barely edged out Simon Biles in the floor exercise: 14.166 to 14.133.
Turkey Doesn't Eff Around
The internet has gone wild with memes of the Turkish silver medal shooter, Yusuf Dikec. He brings new meaning to "casual" in the 10m air pistol mixed teams event. Brother looks like he's straight out of a Quinton Tarantino movie. I loved the post below. Yusuf is in the bottom right corner with his hand in his pocket.
The Moon Crashes Through The Waves
Tim Elter's surf went viral after he lost his shorts... literally. His X (Twitter) response to the incident, "When the waves don't deliver, then my a$$ does." For whatever reasons, the best video I can find of this Olympic moment is in German.
A Ball Better Left Uncaught
When the world's eyes are on you... it can be a double edged sword. Anthony Ammirati was eliminated in the pole vault due to a misplaced package. According to the video, Anthony did get a heck of an offer from the adult entertainment world. I have no idea if he's going to take them up on it.
