Fenton features award winning schools, family friendly neighborhoods, a historic downtown (known as Dibbleville) , beautiful parks and clean blue lakes!
Fenton was named after the winner of a poker game in 1837 between William Fenton and Robert Leroy. Mr. Fenton won the game and the honor to name the town; hence Fenton! Mr. Leroy is honored by an important Fenton Street named after him.
Before Mr. Fenton won the poker game, Fenton was known as Dibbleville. The name Dibbleville still remains in Fenton- it’s what they call the central downtown shopping and dining district.
The Silver Parkway is a special feature of Fenton that allows residents to stay close to home to shop for groceries, errands, quick shopping and dining.
The motto of Fenton is: “Be Closer”. That is a great way to describe Fenton!
