Actor Daniel Craig attends the German premiere of the new James Bond movie 'Spectre' at CineStar on October 28, 2015 in Berlin, Germany.

James Bond looks good for sixty. On this date (October 5th) the first James Bond movie debuted (Dr. No) with Sean Connery as 007. We had a couple of questions on the show:

  1. Is there a more iconic movie theme song than 007? There’s a new special on Amazon Prime just about the music AND they’ve released ALL 25 movies (for a limited time)
  2. What’s the ONE James Bond movie you’d have somebody watch first? Do you start at the beginning with Dr. No? I’m leaning Goldfinger first

  • 1. Goldfinger

“Goldfinger” is widely considered to be one of the best James Bond movies ever made. The film features a classic villain in the form of Auric Goldfinger, a wealthy businessman with a obsession with gold. The film also features some of the most iconic scenes in the entire James Bond franchise, including the famous laser scene in which Bond is strapped to a table and threatened with death.

  • 2. On Her Majesty's Secret Service

“On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” is often considered to be one of the most underrated James Bond movies. The film features a great performance by George Lazenby as Bond, and introduces the character of Blofeld, one of the most iconic villains in the entire franchise. The film also features some great action sequences, including a ski chase and a battle on top of a moving train.

  • 3. The Spy Who Loved Me

“The Spy Who Loved Me” is another classic James Bond movie that features a great villain in the form of Karl Stromberg, a megalomaniacal businessman who plans to destroy the world and start anew underwater. The film also features one of the most iconic scenes in the entire franchise, in which Bond skis off a cliff and is caught by a Union Jack parachute.

  • 4. For Your Eyes Only

“For Your Eyes Only” is often considered to be one of the best James Bond movies of the 1980s. The film features a great story that sees Bond trying to track down a missing computer disk that contains information that could be used to launch nuclear missiles. The film also features some great action sequences, including a car chase through the streets of Istanbul and a ski chase through the Alps.

  • 5. Skyfall

“Skyfall” is widely considered to be one of the best James Bond movies ever made. The film sees Daniel Craig take on the role of Bond for the third time, and he gives an outstanding performance. The film also features one of the best villains in recent years in the form of Raoul Silva, played by Javier Bardem. The film has some great action sequences, including a thrilling chase through London on top of a moving train. And how do you NOT love this opening credit scene?
