While drinking my latte, I did some research. There are insane amounts of food and drink options, the top categories being: coffee, breakfast items, and desserts. Trader Joe's does a whole Pumpkin Palooza of items each Fall. The limited-edition SPAM (pictured above) is for sale on E-Bay and people are asking $50-$240 dollars for it! Unbelievable, but true. Would you eat Philadelphia Pumpkin Spice Cream Cheese on your bagel? Even if you said no, wait, cause there is more. The genius of many of these products is their potential as ingredients in other foods like cakes and muffins. I don't know if I'd eat it on a bagel. But as an ingredient in cake, muffins, or waffles? HECK YEAH. Sign me up!
The Marketing Genius
Limited batch / Limited edition labeling is KEY. Listen, you can't get this year-round. If you want some, you better act FAST! There's nothing like telling consumers something is "limited" in supply to help start a frenzy. I'm not a huge fan of Pumpkin Spice items, but I am a HUGE FAN of Fall and Halloween. Michigan is a fantastic place to be in the Fall. It's our jam. Years when I wasn't working full-time, I started decorating my house for Fall and Halloween at the beginning of September. I'd wait until October 1st to decorate outside, but inside... I was throwing up Fall by September 8th. I like seeing all the pumpkin spice stuff because it gets me in the mood for Fall and Halloween.

Starbucks has their Pumpkin Spice Latte available NOW. The drink has been super popular (this is actually the 19th year Starbucks has offered Pumpkin Spice Latte). Starbucks also has their Pumpkin Cold Brew
7-Eleven and Speedway stores have two seasonal drinks: pumpkin spice latte and pumpkin spice coffee.
Dunkin Donuts is all in with a Pumpkin spice MENU that includes their new Nutty Pumpkin coffee, plus donuts, creamers, K-cups, and ground coffee.

The Michigan Renaissance Festival is my jam. I first attended RenFest back in the early '90s. My friend in college asked me if I wanted to pick up some extra work at the Michigan Renaissance Festival and I said "yes." I had not been before. I showed up and my mind was blown. There was so much going on everywhere and you never knew what would happen next. Here we are in 2022 and I still love the Michigan Renaissance Festival.
100+ Artisans, 17 stages and tons of cleavage. Speaking of... thanks to Hearts Delight Clothiers for giving me an amazing outfit. They are so nice and their cloths are amazing. I did my usual "criss-cross apple sauce" to lift the girls to new heights and I was on my way. I can assure, my girls are never more elevated than when I'm wearing a corset from Hearts Delight. The whole process is amazing.
I was SO HAPPY to see my absolute favorite character, Mother Superior of The Greater Northern Lakes. She does vow renewals and so much more. She's one of reasons why I still love the Michigan Renaissance Festival so much. She will mess with you... for a price.
