July 18th! Hugs, nerds, and massaging every body. It’s a great day, friends!

  • Hug Your Kids Day

Honestly, I don’t know that I hug my children enough. Some people are natural huggers, some aren’t. I’m in the NOT category… even pre-Covid. I wish I was more of a hugger, but I’m not and neither is my son, Jake… lol.  I had to pull up a pic of us hugging from a while back cause the little fart wouldn’t hug me for a pic to use here! Having said that, today is a great day to remind parents how important hugs can be.  I look at it as a reminder to bond with your child in whatever way works for you.  Sometimes we get busy with our daily routines and we can forget to show them how much we love them.

  • Insurance Nerd Day

Today we celebrate those that work in the insurance field and LOVE it.  It’s a day meant to break the stigma that people who work in the insurance industry are boring.

  • National Sour Candy Day

I LOVED sour candies…. when I was young. 🙂 I don’t know at what point  I soured on sour candies, but these days my cheeks tighten just looking at them.  Sour candies are like a rollercoaster for your mouth.

  • World Listening Day

According to WorldListeningProject.org, “The theme for World Listening Day 2022 ‘Listening Across Boundaries’ invites us to explore the role of listening across branches of knowledge including scientific, medical, and musical purposes.”  Celebrate by listening MORE and maybe talking less.  It’s hard to listen with your mouth open, as my mother has reminded me a thousand times.

  • Sports Cliche Week

This reason to celebrate is a home run a slam dunk… a hole-in-one! You get the point. What’s your favorite sports cliche?
