Someone asked parents to name things they secretly hate about their kids. The answers came flying in!

Being a new parent, I don't think I have gotten to this point yet. I am sure in time I will have a few things to add to the list!

Someone asked people to name things they secretly hate about their children. Check out this list below!

I will say I can relete to a few of the items on this list though. For example, the cute milestones that make things worse! Right now my son Finnian is 4 months old so he is going through a ton of milestones right now.

One that really started making things harder was when he started rolling. Before, you could throw him on the floor and know that he wouldn't move. Now, I leave him for 5 minutes and next thing I know he has rolled into the fireplace or under the couch!

I will say, we chose to be parents and I try not to complain about the little things like, having to stay home even when he sleeps or playing with dumb toys all the time. In the end I love that I chose to become a parent and couldn't have a better partner to help keep me sane during these early months!

Now, before everyone else say it! I know...Just wait until he starts walking, that is one step that is going to take some time adjusting to!

One more thing that I couldn't handle. The first time he got real tears! Holy crap, will those things make you feel horrible and get you to do anything for your kid!

I haven't gotten a video of him rolling yet, but here are some other photos and videos of my son Finnian.

Your weekends are ruined

There's no sleeping in when you have kids. And even when they're older, you have to shuffle them around to soccer games.

How "cute" milestones can make things harder

Like, they can talk . . . great, now they'll never shut up.  Or, they can walk . . . now I can never sit down.

Having to be nice to them when you're in a bad mood

People without kids don't understand how daunting and endless it is.

The mess

It's a lot harder to keep your home clean once you have kids.

Mindless playing

Like when they want you to play with their dolls or action figures with them, and you have to fake like you're having a really fun time.

It makes work harder

Whether you're at home or in an office, it interferes.

All the extra cooking

Then half the time, they complain or won't eat it.

Working all day, then having to go to a play or band recital.

Another example of never having enough free time.

Dealing with other parents' nonsense

And also having to pretend you like them, or that you'd hang out even if you didn't have kids.

How touchy-feely kids can be

Sometimes they can't keep their hands off you.  And those hands are rarely clean.

One mom admitted she secretly hates her kid for ruining her body

Quote, "I love my kid, but my body will never be the same."

You can't leave the house once they go to bed without getting a babysitter

It's almost like being in jail, or on house arrest.

Not being able to take a day off when you're sick.

You don't really get to rest.  You still have to cook, clean, and help them with whatever they need.

They follow you everywhere

Say goodbye to privacy for a few years.

The pressure that every little mistake made as a parent could scar them for life.

It's mentally draining, and you constantly feel guilty.

Hey It’s Ryan, let me start off by saying…YES, I was born and raised in Wixom, Michigan although a lot of listeners like to joke that I am from Arizona. WCSX has always been my radio home, I have been at the station since I was a 23-year-old intern, co-host of Big Jim’s House, married with kids. Family and radio are what I love, but don’t get me started on golf! Like some, I have become obsessed with golf and you can hear all about that on “The Ball Washer Pod” right here on WCSX. One of my other passions is helping out the Vets. Since coming to WCSX I have been apart of raising hundreds of thousands for local vet groups. Other than that, I am a goofy guy, loving life, my family and talking to you on the radio. Ryan writes about golf, family and what happens on “Big Jim’s House.”
