Never worry through good times and bad, the best friends are always there to lift us in our lives. June the 8th is National Best Friends Day. Take a moment to say thank you for always being there for you. To support you as well as wipe a tear from your cheek in a sad moment in life. Best friends are there to cheer you on to victory. A best friend is honest and doesn’t lie or cheat you to gain an advantage. Never have to worry about gossip behind your back because a friend is trustworthy with your deepest secrets. Best friends can even be a part of each other and pick up right where you left off. Best friends tell you it is a really bad idea what time we start?

Friends always seem to say things at the same time. Will always ask what’s wrong if you are feeling down. If you have two friends in your life consider yourself lucky. If you have one really good friend you are blessed. June 8th is National Best Friends Day, but celebrate friends every day of the year.

• Harry Nilsson Best Friend

  Harry Edward Nilsson, sometimes credited as Nilsson, was a singer-songwriter who reached the peak of his commercial success in the early 1970s. You may not know the name but I know you remember the songs he wrote. One is the Loneliest Number, Put The Lime and the Coconut, Me and My Arrow, Everybody’s Talkin‘ and Without You.

  “Best Friend” is the theme song Harry Nilsson wrote and recorded for the television series “The Courtship of Eddie’s Father.”

• "Friends" - John Corabi for Motley Crue

  From the Japanese version of Motley Crue‘s album “Quaternary“, the companion album to their self-titled 1994. Here in the United States, you had an order form in your CD to special order the extra album. John Corabi has always been and continues to be an incredibly underrated talent. What a great song for friends.

• Elton John - Friends

  “Friends” is a song written by English musician Elton John and songwriter Bernie Taupin, and performed by John. It was John’s third U.S. hit, and his second to reach the Top 40 after the breakthrough success of “Your Song“.

• The Beatles - With A Little Help From My Friends

  Written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney and sung by drummer Ringo Starr (as Sgt. Pepper singer, Billy Shears), his lead vocal for the album.

• Lyle Lovett & His Large Band w Randy Newman - You´ve Got A Friend In Me

  “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” is a song by Randy Newman. Used as the theme song for the 1995 Disney/Pixar animated film Toy Story. Sung as a duet here with Lyle Lovette

• The Cars - My Best Friend's Girl

  The Cars ” My Best Friends Girl.”  from their 1978 self-titled debut. Surprisingly only charted up to #35 on the top 40 charts.

   

• James Taylor & Carole King - You've Got A Friend

  Carol King wrote, You’ve Got A Friend,  and James Taylor recorded it on one of his albums. Here is a rare video of both artists playing the song together.

• Andrew Gold - Thank You For Being A Friend

   The iconic song is older than the NBC sitcom The Golden Girls (actually, sitcoms) most commonly associated with it: It was written, and first released as a single, by the musician Andrew Gold, in 1978.
