David Bowie at Masonic Temple in Detroit 1973

Saw Bowie the first time he played in Detroit in 72.  By 1973 there was a “Panic In Detroit” as he was reaching super stardom and by the time he played Masonic Temple the audiences were huge.  I remember being packed in the crowd very tightly close to the stage that night and being mesmerized by all the changes in music and outfits he went through at this show.  Over the years we saw him  at Cobo and 5 nights at the Michigan Palace but the show that always stood out to me was that 73 date when he truly changed rock and roll as we knew it
