Green Day’s ‘American Idiot’ Coffee Maker Looks Pretty Cool
Green Day has revealed its new American Idiot Keurig coffee maker. Sure, this type of collaboration isn’t very “punk,” but that coffee maker does look pretty cool.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band unveiled the American Idiot Brewer in a QVC-style video, which can be viewed below. Housed in special packaging, the coffee maker comes with Punk Bunny K-Cup pods and a Punk Bunny iced coffee tumbler. (Punk Bunny is Green Day’s very own coffee brand.)
In Tré Cool fashion, the drummer says at the end of the video, “If you don’t get one of these Green Day Keurig brewers, f— you!” Mike Dirnt adds, with a laugh, “You’d be f–ing stupid not to get one of these things!”
It turns out that fans really took those words to heart. Shortly after its unveiling, the American Idiot Keurig sold out. On Keurig’s website, there’s a link on the listing to sign up to be notified when the brewer bundle is available again. Fingers crossed more will be produced and put on sale, because there’s clearly a demand.
