The long lost storyline from FRIENDS belongs in episode 3 of season 8, “The One Where Rachel Tells”. The episode originally aired October 11, 2001 – just one month after 9/11.
In the initial script, Monica and Chandler set off for their honeymoon but didn’t get past airport security when Chandler jokes about a bomb joke sign. This Monica-Chandler honeymoon storyline was replaced with ‘the couple who beat them to the punch’ storyline because the writers and producers felt it was too soon after 9/11 for even Chandler to land those jokes.
