‘Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour’ Renewed For Second Season
Ozzy Osbourne and his son Jack are apparently going to be making history again.
The duo’s History Channel travelogue show, Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour, has been renewed for a second season with A&E. During the initial 10-episode season the father-son team visited sites such as Mount Rushmore, Stonehenge, the Alamo, Sun Studios in Memphis, Cuba, Roswell and more, not just seeing the sights but meeting with locals and sharing a unique, dry-witted repartee.
Ozzy tells us the show was Jack’s idea, and he was quick to say yes to the project:
“He came to us and goes, ‘Dad,’ and I go, ‘Don’t tell me. Yes, the answer is. I’ll do anything.’ I adore him and I love him to death and he’s such a courageous kid…So when I’m on some down time and he asks me something, I’ll go ‘sure, Jack, no problem.’ Then it’s real, right smack bang in the middle of when I’m doing a tour. But I don’t mind. It’s kind of like a father and son deal, that’s all.”
There’s no word yet on when the second season of World Detour will be filmed and air. Jack previously directed the 2011 documentary God Bless Ozzy Osbourne.
Ozzy, meanwhile, has resumed playing solo shows in the wake of Black Sabbath’s final tour, with three dates on the books right now including OZZFest on November 4 in San Bernardino, Calif.
