‘Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour” Season 2 Premiere Date Announced
Mark November 8 on your calendar for the premiere of the second season of Ozzy and Jack Osbourne‘s Ozzy & Jack’s World Detour, moving this year to A&E after an inaugural season on the History Channel.
The travelogue show will find the father and son duo traveling across the U.S. checking out dogsledding in Alaska, a NASCAR race in Texas, camping out with Jack’s daughter in Sedona and more.
In a statement, Jack Osbourne says that, “I am so excited to be back for a second season because it means my dad didn’t kill me or cause too much destruction last season. But you never know what will happen this time around!”
A&E’s Elaine Frontain Bryant adds that, “We are grateful to Ozzy and Jack for allowing us into their lives for an unfiltered look at their relationship while on this exciting journey together. Beyond the highly entertaining road trip adventure, the series’ focus on the deep bond between a father and his son offers viewers the personal connection they look for in our programming.”
Ozzy gives full credit for the series to Jack, who also helmed the 2011 documentary God Bless Ozzy Osbourne:
“He came to us and goes, ‘Dad,’ and I go, ‘Don’t tell me. Yes, the answer is. I’ll do anything.’ I adore him and I love him to death and he’s such a courageous kid…So when I’m on some down time and he asks me something, I’ll go ‘Sure, Jack, no problem.’ Then it’s real, right smack bang in the middle of when I’m doing a tour. But I don’t mind. It’s kind of like a father and son deal, that’s all.”
Ozzy, meanwhile, has resumed playing solo shows in the wake of Black Sabbath’s final tour, with three dates on the books right now including OZZFest on November 4 in San Bernardino, Calif.
