Ann and Nancy Wilson Getting Together to Discuss Future of Heart
After a couple of years apart, Ann and Nancy Wilson will be taking a very important first step to see if a Heart comeback will become a reality.
In a recent radio interview with Q104.3, Ann Wilson revealed that she and Nancy “will be getting together soon to talk” regarding the future of Heart. Ann was adamant on not wanting Heart getting back together only for it to be a “money-grab,” which was a feeling she echoed back in April backstage at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony
“I don’t know. I just don’t know. I do know for a fact that it’ll never go back to being a meat and potatoes, ‘just play the hits and nothing more,’ writing it down old band. That’s why I stopped it, because I felt like it was beginning to disintegrate into commercialism. It was chasing the buck. Maybe that’s idealistic, but that’s what I had to do.”
In addition to this, Ann and Nancy Wilson’s very public falling out also resulted from a 2016 incident in which Ann’s husband Dean Wetter was arrested and convicted on charges of assault against Nancy’s then 16-year-old twin sons backstage at a Heart show in suburban Seattle.
For now, fans can check out Ann Wilson’s new album Immortal, which comes out tomorrow (September 14) and is available on CD and vinyl at Amazon.
