Ozzy Osbourne: Latest Health Update from Jack Osbourne
Ozzy Osbourne was forced to postpone all of his 2019 tour dates after yet another health setback, but according to son, Jack Osbourne, Ozzy is as annoyed as ever, and that’s a good thing.
Jack spoke with People while promoting his new Travel Channel show Portals To Hell when he was asked for an update on his Dad.
“He’s doing good. He’s back to being his cynical old self, [which] is always a good sign,” said Jack. “When he’s complaining about mundane things, you know he’s good. Yeah, he’s back to normal. When everything on TV sucks and everything in the house is broken, he’s in a good spot.”
Ozzy has been dealing with a number of health issues for well over six months now beginning in late 2018 when he was hospitalized with three different staff infections in his right hand. Ozzy then was in the hospital with complications from the flu that then developed into pneumonia and resulted in a stint in the ICU. After being discharged from the hospital, his doctors ordered he recuperate at home for an additional six weeks and not to travel. While at home, he fell in his home in Los Angeles and aggravated old injuries he sustained from his 2003 ATV accident that nearly ended his life. Wife/manager Sharon Osbourne detailed the injuries from the fall on CBS’ The Talk.
“And years ago, previously, he had a motorbike accident, where he was in a coma for days,” said Sharon. “And what he’d done was he re-injured his back and neck and shoulders. And all of the metal rods and everything that were put in his body were dislodged. So we had to cancel his year of [tour] dates.”
