PHILADELPHIA - DECEMBER 7: A man enters a closed Taco Bell restaurant at Franklin Mills Mall December 7, 2006 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Taco Bell restaurants in the Philadelphia area have closed voluntarily for testing, after five people who contracted an E. coli illness, dined at a Taco Bell restaurant before falling ill.
They say spicy food is good for your health, which proved very true for a Florida man whose hankering for some extra heat may have saved his life.
A Taco Bell customer at the chain’s Winter Haven location got up from his seat and walked over to the bin of hot sauce packets right as a car flew through the restaurant’s window, crashing into the seats.
Emmanuel Akowuah says he was trying to leave his parking spot, when the car jumped the curb, smashing 10 feet into the building.
According to police, there was significant damage to the establishment, but it seems no one, including the 77-year-old driver and his passenger, was injured.
