Lou Gramm Drops Off Of Foreigner Tour Due To Health Issues
Lou Gramm, who had been scheduled to participate in Foreigner’s “Double Vision: Then And Now” tour in 2019 was hospitalized at the Unity Hospital at Park Ridge in Rochester, New York with a severe respiratory infection, dehydration and fatigue, according to a post on Foreigner’s official Facebook page.
According to the post, “Unfortunately, at his follow up appointment today, his doctor pronounced him unable to perform at these shows.” The post notes that other original members of the band will still join Mick Jones (the sole founding member in the current lineup) for the shows.
“We will all miss Lou at our upcoming shows and we join all his family, friends, and fans in wishing him a speedy recovery,” Jones said.
Gramm added, “I’m very disappointed about not being able to perform at the ‘Foreigner Double Vision: Then & Now’ shows for all the fans. My doctor insists if I pushed myself to perform, I would be in big trouble. So doctor’s orders, I ride the bench. Rock on!”
