Beavis & Butt-Head: Reboot’s 2nd Season Premiering on ‘High’ Holiday
Beavis and Butt-Head made their triumphant return last year thanks to Paramount+. They had two major releases (huh…): Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe and a reboot series. That reboot series is getting a second season, and it arrives in April on a special holiday.
Paramount+ shared the teaser clip below announcing that the reboot’s second season will premiere on April 20 — aka: 4/20. The date has long been synonymous with cannabis enthusiasts. Appropriately, the teaser boasts, “This 4/20, we’ve got another reason not to leave the couch.”

The Beavis and Butt-Head renaissance has brought other topics related to the show to the forefront. One topic, in particular, is how the titular (huh…) characters pretty much ended the career of Winger.
In an interview on the In the Trenches podcast in January', former Winger guitarist Reb Beach was asked whether the duo factored into the group disbanding. He said it did. Beach added that shortly after Stuart was introduced on the show and wearing a Winger shirt, “In the weeks that followed, we had to cancel the tour because people wouldn’t be caught dead buying a ticket to a Winger show.”
Of course, there was a force before Beavis & Butt-Head that helped turn the tide against Winger: Metallica. The band famously featured Lars Ulrich in the video for “Nothing Else Matters” throwing darts at a Kip Winger poster. (The clip is also featured in the 1992 documentary A Year and A Half with Metallica.)
“Metallica didn’t help with showing in their biggest video they throw darts at a poster of Kip Winger,” said Beach. “They would show it at their live show, and my friend who went to see them said the entire arena laughed at that part of the video where Lars throws darts at Kip.”
