Garth Brooks Recalls Time He Showered with Steven Tyler
Garth Brooks shared a funny story during a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show about the time he showered with Steven Tyler.
Brooks took Clarkson aback at first when he mentioned it, but it’s not as salacious as you think. The country icon said the shower incident happened in 2008 when he and Tyler joined Billy Joel for the final concert at Shea Stadium.
Brooks says in the video below that he was running late to the venue but needed a quick shower before the show started. Since Shea Stadium was an older baseball venue, the only showers available were the large communal showers in the team locker room.
Brooks notes, “I’m in there showering, getting ready for the show, and I had soap in my eyes. I look around, and there’s Steven Tyler. He’s showering, too.” He added that the two said hello while in the showers and, regarding his story, “How many people get to say that?”
Clarkson, without missing a beat, replied, “Well, who knows? It’s rock and roll. You might not be so special, Garth.”
Tyler is currently preparing for Aerosmith's upcoming farewell tour, aptly titled “Peace Out!” The tour kicks off on September 2 in Philadelphia. Tickets are on sale now at Aerosmith.com. A full list of tour dates is below.
