Big Jim’s House Stone Soup Bronco

We’re getting closer with the Stone Soup Bronco! Thank YOU Bill Brown Ford for all the hard work on prepping the 1974 Bronco…shout out to Steve Horvath, Chet Hershey and Scott Wray…we’re putting mud on the body!. Here’s a note from Joe Wednesday night:

We are sling’n mud. Check out the right quarter panel. We had to weld the rear corner piece’s to the quarter panels because of fit issues. We voted to eliminate the vertical seam that would normally have been visible between the corner piece and the quarter panel. I called Jeff Trapp to get his opinion and he agreed. He said that other restorer’s have eliminated the seam as well. It will look more like the new Bronco quarter panel and it will take less time to body finish and block out. We are hoping to finish the mud work by Friday. We have an hours worth of welding to do on the underside of the body once we put it back on the rotisserie. At that point, prime the entire vehicle. Stay tuned….
