Here are some of April 2022’s movies. From vampires to wizards to speedy hedgehogs. The movies are just starting to get really ramped up for the summer season. Here’s WCSX’s guide to the new April movies.

• Morbius April 1st

  Jared Leto finally brings us to the dark world of Morbius. Is this the possible beginning of the Midnight Sons? A grittier take on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. A world where Blade, The Black Knight, Ghost Rider and Morbius dwell.

• The Contractor April 1st

  Competing for your views against Morbius, The Contractor hits theaters on April 1st. Chris Pine, of Captain Kirk fame, takes on a mercenary job to make ends meet. And of course, that goes south real quick.

• Sonic The Hedgehog 2 April 8th

  Need something to take the kids to or are you just a big Sega Genesis fan? Whatever the case, Sonic The Hedgehog 2 should have all the blue-furred action you need.

• Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore April 15th

  Another adventure in the pre-history of the Harry Potter franchise. Professor Albus Dumbledore attempts to stop Dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald is from establishing power within the wizard world.

• The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent

  I know how popular Nic Cage is and I don’t think there is a bigger fan than the director of The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent. A tongue in cheek comedy starring Nicholas Cage as himself trying to keep above water taking a massive payout for a job that goes a route he didn’t expect.
