Flowers blooming. Life stirring. Bird singing. And wizards throwing spells at otherworldly space monsters! That’s what Spring means to me! There are several movie releases coming out this May, but with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, having such a huge build up, it will be hard to compete. Here are some of your May 2022 movie releases.

• Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness May 6th

  What can we say but, WOW! There are so many theories and possibilities tied to this film that it’s creating a huge hype. I was not sure on how to approach this new phase of the Marvel Universe, but the What If and Loki series really have me sold. And of course, the Spiderman No Way Home, as amazing as it was, also developed this new Marvel Multiverse as the next MCU timeline.

• Firestarter May 13th

  If you are not an 80’s horror fan, you may not remember that is a remake of the 1984 Firestarter starring Drew Barrymore. A father and his daughter are on the run from the government who want to use their psychic abilities as weapons (think Stranger Things at a smaller scale). Based on a story by Stephen King.

   

• Downtown Abbey: A New Era May 20th

  Follows the lives of the Crawley family and their servants in the family’s Edwardian country house.

• Top Gun: Maverick May 27th

  Yeah, Tom Cruise is back as Maverick. Top Gun was one of those iconic movies of the 80’s action scene that few will forget. This time, hot shot Maverick is back to train the new young hot shots. Be ready for some tower flybys and Tom Cruise running somewhere.

• The Bob's Burgers Movie May 27th

  If high flying fighter jets are not your thing on May 27th, then maybe some Bob’s Burgers will satisfy your movie taste buds. I keep being told I have to see Bob’s Burger, but I keep forgetting! Listen, I have lots of things to watch, I’ll get to it, I swear!
