This week we salute Plymouth and the Plymouth Ice Festival! The Plymouth Ice Festival began in 1984. It's the oldest ice festival in Michigan. The City of the Week crew met Ted. Ted is one of the carvers and he's been a part of the Plymouth Ice Festival since its very first year! Ted said that back in the beginning, many of the carvers were actually culinary students who learned to carve ice as part of their presentation skills for culinary arts. CLICK HERE to check out Joel and Doni's Facebook Live from Plymouth on Thursday as Kellogg Park begins its transformation into an ice wonderland. Scroll down to see our photos from this year's ice festival and more! (you can also check out previous Cit of the Week Plymouth pics HERE).
