  Northville was settled by newcomers from Ostego, New York, who were attracted by the cheap price of land…(but that was way back then..!)

• Why did they call it Northville?

  When Northville was settled, it was the Northern most village in the area…hence, “Northville” !

• Here comes Ford!

  In 1919, Henry Ford opened a Ford factory in Northville. The new Ford plant created many jobs and and attracted residents that made Northville grow rapidly.

  The City of Northville is actually split between two Michigan counties- Oakland and Wayne!

• The treasures on Northville!

  Northville is home to two of Michigan’s treasures; Mayberry State Park, and Wayne County’s only natural lake, Silver Springs.
