Roseville was named after the first Postmaster in the area, William Rose.
Roseville was first inhabited by the Potawotomi Native Indian Tribe.
“The Ritz” was a popular club for live Rock and Roll from local and national acts and operated from 1980 until 1995 that was located at Gratiot and Frahzo Road in Roseville.
The main thoroughfare in Roseville is Gratiot Avenue. Cruising Gratiot peaked in the mid 80’s, but there are still Classic Car Cruises held each Summer along Gratiot Avenue.
The City of Roseville has symbol of a rose on their residential street signs… it’s a nice touch!
