  Wayne’s first Restaurant Week is April 24-30!  Many Wayne restaurants are offering specials.  CLICK HERE to find out more!

  On Friday, the second annual “Uncorked and On Tap” fundraiser will be taking place in Wayne at HYPE Athletics (The White Rose Banquet).  The fundraiser benefits schools in the area.  For more info on the fundraiser, CLICK HERE.

• Who's Mad?

  The City of Wayne was named after U.S. Revolutionary War General “Mad Anthony” Wayne.

• When was Wayne?

  Wayne was an early settlement on the territorial road between Detroit and Chicago. The first log cabin along this road was built in 1836!

• Wayne is Ford Country!

  Wayne is home to TWO major Ford Motor Company assembly plants- Wayne Stamping & Assembly and the Michigan Assembly plant.

• What's the Motto?

  The motto of Wayne is “People, Pride and Progress”.  Very positive!

• Choo! Choo!

  Wayne expanded it’s role as a transportation hub with the arrival of the Michigan Central Railroad in 1838.
