Detroit Gives Us A Holiday Gift We Can All Get Behind

Free things are great, and they're few and far between when it comes to the City of Detroit.

According to MLive, Detroit is waiving their parking costs at meters Friday through Monday for a holiday treat.

In addition to this, there's still a few more hours left for Friday to head out to the Downtown Detroit Winter Markets at Campus Martius Park, as they close at 8 tonight. So on top of being able to park for free, you can snag some last minute gifts for a friend or loved one while you take in the city's twinkling lights.

Attention all last minute shoppers: markets are open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Thanks, Detroit!
