Classic Rock News

Could a Bon Jovi reunion with guitarist Richie Sambora actually happen? It’s something Sambora doesn’t rule out completely.

Sambora talked about this hot topic with U.K. outlet Metro in relation to the iconic festival Glastonbury. The guitarist famously joined Dolly Parton’s set on the festival’s main stage in 2014. When asked if a reunion could happen at Glastonbury in 2023, Sambora said, “It’s a possibility. We’re talking a bit.” The outlet noted he said that quote with “a cheeky smile on his face.”

Bon Jovi has never headlined Glastonbury with Metro reporting fans have begged festival organizers Michael and Emily Eavis to book the group.

Things seem to be somewhat civil between Sambora and Bon Jovi. Their brief reunion when the band was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2018 went off without a hitch. While Sambora said in November 2021 that his role in Bon Jovi was “to shut the f--- up,” he also said in October 2020, “It would have to be a special situation for me to go back, but I’m certainly not counting it out. I have no malice toward that band.”

So, much like Lloyd Christmas, you’re telling us there’s a chance. YEAH!
